Yes, Silmid.com supports customers from outside the United Kingdom. We currently sell to over 100 countries. Certain countries are excluded from online ordering to comply with UK, UN and International restrictions and embargoes.
Which currencies are supported?

What is International "Door to Door" Shipping?
International customers will now have the option to choose Direct shipping from Silmid via FedEx. Shipping costs to your chosen delivery address are calculated and then all packing and shipping are arranged by Silmid. This option is available for all non-hazardous shipments worldwide, and for certain hazardous shipments this is available to selected countries*.
Simply find the product you require, add it to your shopping basket and follow the steps through to Checkout. Under "Delivery Options" you will find a menu with the options available or select "Collection FCA" (Customer must arrange their own collection from the Silmid Warehouse)

Which countries can Sil-Mid ship hazardous goods to?
Silmid.com partners with FedEx as a primary partner and so the following countries are supported for Hazardous Goods.

What does Unsupported Country mean?
On occasion, you may encounter an Unsupported Country error when trying to checkout online. This is because there are certain limitations imposed by carriers and international trading rules that mean the country you have selected is Unsupported.

How can I make a payment?
When ordering from Silmid.com you can select your currency from the options at the top of the homepage. Once you have selected a preferred currency, Silmid.com will remember this for your next order.
New customers will be dealt with on proforma terms initially, after approval from our Accounts team we will send you a Credit Application Form to apply for a 30 day account with Sil-Mid Limited – the agreement is at the discretion of our Financial Director.
Preferred payment methods are BACS transfer (which takes approximately 3 working days to clear), cheque or credit/debit card. Please note that we are unable to accept American Express and, if ordering through the office, we will be unable to process credit card payments for more than £2,500 pounds sterling.
For Proforma Invoice payments, lead times are valid from receipt of payment and for all orders placed through the office, an administration fee of £12.00 will be added to cover international bank charges.
How do you handle VAT for international customers?
If you are a member of the EU and have supplied your VAT Number then VAT will not be charged. The only exception to this is if you have requested delivery to a UK address, in which case VAT would apply until a valid proof of export (i.e. an Airway Bill) is provided.
How much does packing and delivery cost?
The checkout will calculate your packing and delivery charges based on whether the goods are hazardous. The final value of your online order includes all fees for packing and documentation.
All items are packed in house by our IATA, ADR and IMDG qualified International Sales team; this simply means we can ship any of our products to you wherever you are, by air, road or sea.
International customers will now have the option to choose Direct shipping. Shipping costs to your chosen delivery address are calculated and then all packing and shipping are arranged by Sil-Mid Limited. This option is available for all non-hazardous shipments worldwide, and for hazardous shipments, this is available to selected countries.
Alternatively, you can choose to arrange collection with a freight forwarder of your choice from the Sil-Mid Warehouse.
Caution: There are trade restrictions in place for certain countries. If you are trying to order for one of these destinations the checkout will not complete your order.
Through the office, international packing starts at £16.00 and documents are charged at £12.50, delivery costs vary.

What are the benefits of ordering online?
International customers can now order online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
You can still order through the office if you prefer; however, by ordering online you can order outside normal office hours, see stock availability instantly, check to see if the item is classed as hazardous for transport, and receive discounted packing and documentation charges. There is no minimum order value for orders placed online.
What paperwork will I receive with my goods?
Each international order is shipped with a Document Pack inside the package.
The pack includes Sil-Mid's Certificate of Conformity, and the Commercial Invoice and Dangerous Goods Declaration (if applicable). OEM certificates can be supplied with orders if requested in the Notes section of your order.
