Can I have an update on my Back Order?

A back order is used when stock has to be ordered in from a vendor or supplier. A customer can have a number of back ordered items and these can be covered by a number of customer orders.

How do I know when my back order will ship out?

The easiest way to check the Estimated Ship Date is to login to you account on Silmid.com and click on the Outstanding Order Report  button in  the Quick Access Bar.

What is the Estimated Ship Date?

This is the date we expect to despatch the goods and so they will arrive subject to the delivery option selected when the order was placed.

If the order is for delivery outside of the United Kingdom then the transit time will vary based on the shipping method and carrier used. Please allow a reasonable time for transit of goods following the shipping date.

NOTE: Estimated due dates are checked daily so it is useful to check your back order report often. And its quicker then emailing us for an update.

Why has Estimated Shipping Date has changed? 

The global supply chain is experiencing disruption like never before and our Purchasing Team are working to constantly get the best possible due dates for back ordered items.

There are many reasons why the Estimated Ship Date can change and these include:

    • Product impacts due to Covid
    • Logistics and Transport delays
    • Shortages of workers and HGV drivers
    • Oil price and fuel costs

CAUTION: Estimated Due Dates are just that, an estimate and are subject to change as we are informed of delivery issues by our supply chain.
